How did Doctor Daum become interested in toilet training?

Doctor Fred Daum

I am a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist and the father of 5 children…now all successfully toilet trained!  (They are ages 17–40.)   But it wasn’t always an easy process.

One of my children was late in toilet training, and I personally experienced the frustration and stress that this places on families.  This is an especially challenging and difficult problem, and I discovered that resources for help are few.

Recognizing how common this problem is, I began to incorporate the treatment of toilet training into my general practice of gastroenterology. I am grateful that my time as a parent and more than 40 years of professional experience allow me to help families struggling with toilet training.
